Reflections and Opinions

Who am I, and what’s this about?

From Cleveland Heights, Ohio to San Francisco, California; from Antigua Guatemala to Madrid, Spain; from Quito, Ecuador to the Galápagos Islands, from the chilly Andes to rainy Oregon -- there’s certainly plenty to reflect upon.  My only question is: Where has all the time gone? On this blog, I’ll be writing about bits and pieces of my life and expressing my viewpoints on a variety of “hot-button” political issues, such as education, immigration, and U.S. foreign policy.

Writings

To the right I’ve posted  some of my recent and not-so-recent letters and editorials -- some that were published -- and others that weren’t.

Ever since my sixth grade teacher encouraged me to post political opinions on a class bulletin board, I’ve loved to editorialize on subjects ranging from civil rights to the environment, from wars in Central America to immigration.

As a college student at Case Western in Cleveland I wrote biweekly opinions for the student newspaper, “The Observer.”  I’ll post these and other pieces here, as I find them.

I’ve been intending for a long time to take advantage of the Web to consolidate and publish some of my thoughts.

Please note that I will be fiddling with both the content and the format of this site for some time to come.  Please do not hesitate to leave your comments, reactions, or suggestions regarding this endeavor.
